S/gns Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 7, 2026
S/gns helps users collect public web and social links, retrieve public preview information, and create organized cards in Figma or FigJam.
S/gns is published and operated by Mauro Carpino. The current version of this policy is available at https://themorphickstone.com/signs/privacy.
Data processed
When a user adds a link, S/gns processes the full public URL and may retrieve its public title, author, description, thumbnail, screenshot, or media preview. Notes, tags, funnel stages, awareness levels, and the resulting metadata are stored locally by Figma in the plugin's client storage.
S/gns does not request an email address, active-user list, file-user list, team library, payment details, authentication token, or API key. It uses Figma's Payments API to read subscription status, open Figma's checkout, and obtain a short-lived plugin payment token. The token is sent to the S/gns license service and verified with Figma to associate usage and entitlements with the corresponding Figma user identifier. Payment details are collected and processed by Figma, not by S/gns. S/gns does not include advertising or analytics.
External services
After the user explicitly enables external previews, the URL they add may be sent to:
- Microlink (
microlink.io) to retrieve public metadata, screenshots, and media information; - Noembed (
noembed.com) to retrieve public oEmbed metadata; - weserv.nl (
images.weserv.nl) to retrieve and normalize public preview images; - Supabase (
supabase.co) to operate the S/gns license service, store the free-link count, and manage complimentary access codes; - the relevant public media provider, such as YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, Vimeo, Spotify, Facebook, Pinterest, or Snapchat, when displaying an embedded preview.
These providers may receive the submitted URL and standard network information such as the user's IP address. Their own privacy policies and retention practices apply. Users must not submit private, credential-bearing, local, internal, or signed URLs.
Storage and retention
The saved collection is stored in Figma client storage on the user's device/account environment. Items remain there until the user deletes them or clears the plugin's stored data. Cards placed on the canvas contain the public URL and selected metadata as plugin data so they can be recognized when selected.
The S/gns license service stores the Figma user identifier, the number of free links consumed, complimentary-license expiry, and code-redemption records. It does not store the public URLs, notes, tags, preview metadata, Figma file contents, or payment-card details. License records are retained while needed to provide access, prevent repeated trial use, resolve billing or license issues, and meet applicable legal obligations.
User choices
External preview requests are disabled until the user enables them in the plugin. Users can delete saved entries from the plugin and remove generated cards from their Figma or FigJam document. Disabling external previews prevents new links from being processed by external preview services. Privacy and deletion requests for server-side license records can be sent to the support contact below.
Security
S/gns accepts only public HTTP or HTTPS URLs and rejects URLs containing credentials, localhost addresses, and common private-network address ranges. Media processing is size-limited to reduce resource exhaustion.
